Tour The Jewish presence in Havana

In this tour, you will visit the Hebrew Park ( Menorah little square), the Sephardic Hebrew Center of Cuba (conservative) also the permanent graphic exhibition “We Remember” dedicated to the Jewish Holocaust. You also stop at the Beth Shalom synagogue (conservative). Largest of the three synagogues in Havana. Beth Shalom houses a Jewish community center, known as El Patronato, a library a pharmacy and a Sunday school, where children ages 6 through 14 learn Jewish culture and tradition and Hebrew. This tour includes a visit to the Ashkenazy Jewish Cemetery, founded in 1906 by the United Hebrew Congregation, Cuba's oldest Jewish cemetery. In this place, you can see a monument to the Shoah (Holocaust) that dates from 1947 where 6 grains of soap made with human fat from the victims of the concentration camps are buried. During the tour, you will see other places of interest, monuments and enjoy the eclectic architecture of Havana in the old and modern areas of the city while receiving information on history, culture, and traditions in Cuba. Drinks and meals during the tour are not included in the tour fee.
